Administrative Manager
Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | £32,000 PA/PR
*Evening and weekend work required*
This isn’t a typical office manager role
Levels Whitehaven is one of the first facilities of its kind in the UK, an immersive digital education and experience hub built around VR, 360° video, great people and a true ambition to be amazing things. Schools bring their students here to walk through the trenches of WW1, dive the deep ocean, or explore the ruins of a Mayan city, all before lunch. It’s ambitious, it’s a little bit chaotic in the best way, and none of it happens without someone holding the whole thing together. But we’re also a VR Arcade, esports centre, cafe and afterschool/ Holiday hub.
Who we need:
We’re looking for an experienced business administrator ready to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the facility. The person every member of staff, every visiting school, and every supplier knows to go to when something needs to happen.
*VR/XR/AR/AI Tech experience not required*

Be the person who makes young people say “whoa.”
This isn’t a classroom job. It’s a room full of VR headsets, 360° video and 3D digital experiences — and your job is to make it unforgettable for every young person who walks through the door.
The place:
Levels Whitehaven is unlike anything else in the UK. We’re a community interest company built around one conviction: that the most powerful learning happens when young people are fully immersed in what they’re experiencing. We use virtual reality, 360° video, 3D digital assets and hands-on facilitation to bring curriculum-aligned learning to life in ways most schools won’t see for another decade.
We work directly with schools across the region. The demand is real, the impact is measurable, and we’re growing.
The role
We need a Crew member with Educational experience — someone who lives at the front of the room. You’ll set up the tech, run the session, adapt on the fly, and make sure every group leaves having experienced something genuinely different. You’ll be delivering education in VR, in person and using our development PCs and
you’ll work closely with our Education Lead.
What you’ll do:
Run immersive sessions using VR headsets, 360° content and 3D digital assets. Work with visiting schools, adapting your approach whether you’ve got a room of Year 3s or Year 10s. Show up for evenings, weekends and esports nights — you’re part of the whole programme, not just school hours.
Let’s be straight with you:
— Evenings and weekends are a real part of this role. Planned in advance, but genuinely required. — You’ll need an enhanced DBS check. — You don’t need VR experience — full training is provided. But you do need to be genuinely excited by it. — This is a delivery role. If you want to manage people or shape strategy right now, this isn’t the right fit — but it’s an extraordinary place to build from.
You’re the right person if…
You’ve worked with young people before — in education, youth work, sport, performing arts, or anything that put you in front of a group. You can hold a room. You’re confident, warm, and you manage a group without it feeling like crowd control. You genuinely care whether the session lands, not just whether it ran on time. You’re reliable — schools are counting on you being ready. And the idea of delivering education with great tech like VR and great people genuinely excites you.
